The Kaupp combination of equipment, experience and skilled staff, plus an in-depth understanding of metals, allows us to create especially challenging deep-drawn shapes including deep drawn shells and deep drawn cans, on a routine basis. Our capabilities extend beyond the common metals to many special-purpose alloys, and we are fully capable of handling light, medium and heavy gauge metals to close tolerances. Also, stock pre-form and pre-draw tooling is used for many applications, keeping final tooling costs to a minimum.

Controlling thinout in the forming process is critical in many components. Since the hydroform keeps equal pressure on the entire blank during the forming operation it is usually possible
to limit thinout to a minimum.
